Diving & Travel Medicine

The Corona pandemic was a good reminder of how quickly pathogens can spread around the globe through extensive travel. Corona is certainly a special case, but once the pandemic was over, global travel resumed. This increased the risk of contracting pathogens that only occur in certain parts of the world. These include malaria, dengue fever, Lassa fever, West Nile virus, and many more.

With us, you can get detailed advice before a trip as part of a voluntary self-pay service. Fortunately, you can protect yourself against many of these diseases on long-distance trips, e.g. by vaccination, medicinal prophylaxis or simple insect repellent.

Just keeping track of the multitude of possible diseases and the corresponding defence measures is rather impossible for the normal traveller. For these reasons, medical travel advice from a doctor is generally recommended for long-distance travel, but also for travel to other European countries. All essential vaccinations, with the exception of the yellow fever vaccination, can be offered in our practice.

In the broadest sense, diving medicine is also part of travel medicine; w'd be happy to advise you on this on the basis of a voluntary self-pay service and, if necessary, carry out an appropriate aptitude test and issue certificates.

Talk to us and look forward to your next holiday without a care in the world!
